The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) Atlantic Region held a rally on June 1st in downtown Moncton to protest against the cuts in the public services. Speakers were: Debi Daviau (PIPSC), Jeannie Baldwin (PSAC), Hon Dominic LeBlanc & Hon Yvon Godin.
Members attending the rally brought a jar of peanut butter for the Moncton Food Bank and Jeannie Baldwin, REVP Atlantic Region gave a donation to the Moncton Food Bank on behalf of the PSAC.

Fifteen young workers gathered on May 22-23, 2012 in Antigonish, NS, to build their activist toolkits and lay the groundwork for young workers committees.
Over seventy PSAC members delivered affected letters today to Peter MacKay’s constituency office. The letter informed the minister that his services as a federal employee might no longer be needed. The reasons given included reckless spending and cuts to public services.
Since the budget announcement, over 13,000 PSAC members have received affected letters, including 1124 at the Department of National Defence that MacKay oversees.
