HALIFAX, July 14, 2015 /CNW/ - The Public Service Alliance of Canada is today launching a nationwide campaign to remind Canadians about the impact of cuts to public services before they vote in the federal election.

At the 2015 PSAC national convention, delegates directed the union to campaign and raise public awareness about the impact of cuts to public services by the Harper Conservatives.

Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will be joined by the National President of the Canada Employment Immigration Union (CEIU), Marco Angeli and local Members of Parliament, Ryan Cleary and Jack Harris, at their 15th consecutive rally aimed at raising awareness on the upcoming federal election set to take place on October 19.

Members attending a weekend course recently took time to celebrate Aboriginal Awareness Day.

Members attending Federal Elections Campaigner Training in PEI recently were joined by Guest Speaker, Dr. Herb Dickieson, NDP candidate for Egmont.

On June 19th, various locals across PEI held their own events for National Public Service Week.   UTE 90006 hosted a day of action in Summerside with the theme  "Planting for a brighter future on October 19th".
