The 2016 PSAC-Atlantic Racially Visible Members Conference will be held September 23, 2016 at 9 a.m. through to September 25, 2016 at 12:00 noon in Halifax, NS.  The theme for this Conference is: ''Race Forward: Our Union, Our Community, Out Future!''  Registration deadline: May 20, 2016.   The objectives of the 2016 PSAC Regional Conference for Racially Visible Members are: • To discuss, strategize and mobilize on issues impacting Racially Visible Members in their region;

The Atlantic Region of the Public Service Alliance of Canada is pleased to provide an opportunity for Aboriginal members to learn how they can navigate the structures of the PSAC.  This course has been designed for members who have had little or no previous involvement with their union and is a great first step to understanding how unions work for working people. This two-day training will provide members with a way of empowering themselves to effect change in their workplaces, communities and union.

FREDERICTON, NB – Members of the Union of Graduate Student Workers (UGSW), Local 60550, at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton and Saint John) met on February 29 and March 1st to review and vote on the employer’s final offer. This vote has resulted in 72% rejection of that Final Offer!  See attached news release for more information.

PSAC's St. John's Young Workers Committee hosted a movie night in honour of February being Black History Month and watched "Remember the Titans."

Due to an exciting opportunity forthcoming in our region, the PSAC-Atlantic Regional Council voted to postpone our PSAC-Atlantic school that was scheduled to take place in May 2016.
