On Sunday November 17th, members from different unions and the community came together to support PSAC in their fight against Bill C-4. The latest budget implementation act (Bill C-4) now being debated by Parliament will drastically change and reduce health & safety protections for workers in federal jurisdiction. The proposed changes to the Canada Labour Code put workers’ lives at risk.

OTTAWA, ON - Veterans and the workers who serve them say Minister Fantino needs to hear what they have to say before going ahead with closures of Veterans Affairs offices in their communities.

CORNER BROOK, NL - Veterans in Corner Brook and across the country are mobilizing to stop the closure of the nine Veterans Affairs offices they rely on for face-to-face services. Supporting them in Corner Brook is a chorus of community members, local organizations, Veterans Affairs Canada workers, unions, and municipal government.

Registration for the H&S Conference starts on Friday November  1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.  The theme for the conference is :  "Mental Health at Work- We are All Affected"

Conservative MPs want to weaken unions.They want to pass a law that will open up our collective agreements.They want to take out our union security clauses.

On Friday September 13th, 74 of the 88 employees at Service Canada’scall centre in Bathurst, NB, learned their hours of work are being reduced to part-time.  26 of the 42 workers in a call centre in St. John’s, NL, got the same bad news.  The reason everyone was given for such a drastic reduction?  Insufficient funding.
