After 47 years of contaminated air and water, broken promises and broken pipes, Pictou Landing First Nation was promised that after January 30, 2020, pulp effluent would stop flowing into Boat Harbour, and clean up would being.
The Nova Scotia Government gave Northern Pulp almost 5 years notice to have a new treatment system up and running.

(a) enact legislation banning conversion therapy to minors in Canada;
(b) enact legislation prohibiting transporting minors outside of the country for such purposes; and
(c) have conversion therapy included in the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code, to protect children from abuse.

A few PSAC members and staff stood in solidarity with other trade unionists and held the picket line in front of the Canada Post processing plant in Halifax on Friday, November 30th. This was part of the organic picket lines going up across the country to protest the Liberal governments back to work legislation. Thanks to Sr Lori Walton & Brothers Bill Kroeger, Glen McMullin, Roger Arsenault & others who braved the cold and sent a message to both Canada Post and the Liberal government.
