ST. JOHN’S, NL – After a frustrating day of talks facilitated by a federal mediator, the bargaining agent for the Union of Canadian Transportation Employees (UCTE) Local 90916 served the St. John’s International Airport Authority 72 hours notice of strike action at 5:26pm Friday.  Members are prepared to set up picket lines at 5:00am, Tuesday, September 11. 

ST. JOHN’S, NL - Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada’s Union of Canadian Transportation Employees (UCTE) Local 90916 who work at the St. John’s International Airport delivered a 100% mandate in favour of strike action at a meeting Thursday evening.

If you travel through New Brunswick you might notice some FB members at customs ports wearing green shoelaces.  They are wearing them in support to their bargaining team.FB members are still without a contract and are currently waiting for a Public Interest Commission (PIC) dates. 

Commissionaires who work at Halifax’s Stanfield International Airport signed their new collective agreement today reached between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the employer, Commissionaires Nova Scotia.“The gains contained in this agreement reflect the important work we do,” says Local President Miles States. “We now look foreward to improved labour relations at our workplace.”

HALIFAX, NS– At a series of ratification meetings held Thursday, April 12, Commissionaires who work at Halifax’s Stanfield International Airport voted to accept a tentative agreement reached between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the employer, Commissionaires Nova Scotia.

HALIFAX, NS– Commissionaires at Halifax’s Stanfield International Airport voted 90% in support of a strike on Thursday, January 19, after the employer made a final offer and walked away from the table. The 175 members of Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) local 85100, employed by Commissionaires Nova Scotia (CNS) to provide security, ground transportation and parking services at the airport, could be on strike by mid-March.

On February 15, members of UCTE local 60605 who work at the Greater Moncton International Airport voted 100% in favour of a tentative agreement with the airport authority.
