This is to advise you that PSAC Atlantic will be organizing our own PSAC-Atlantic Regional School this Fall. Initially, we had planned to combine our school with the CLC Workers Summit, however, in order to achieve the best results for our members in this Region, we decided to proceed with our own school.

USJE Local 60052 represent 66 members throughout the province of New Brunswick (Grand Manan, Fredericton, St. Stephen, Richibucto, Moncton, Dieppe, Saint John, Elsipogtog, Grand Bay-Westfield, Blackville, Sussex, Hampton, Riverview, St. George & Shediac). Most members perform clerical positions for the RCMP officers. Some of them work in finance, records, court, sources, HR, training, assets, telecommunications, data operator, client services, data reports, and planning.

We have had many inquiries from PSAC members about the provincial holiday in February.

The third Monday in February is now a provincial holiday in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

The second year anniversary of the Phoenix Pay System – also known as the Phoenix debacle – is fastly approaching.

PSAC and its members need to highlight this sad anniversary in order to add continued pressure on this government to take action to fix this once and for all. We will be launching a nationwide petition calling the government to:

Front-Line Customs and Immigration Officers Rallied For Fair Treatment

HALIFAX, NS – Members of the Customs and Immigration Union (CIU), a Component of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), distributed flyers to the public to bring attention to the importance of the work performed by the front-line men and women who, as Canadian Border Services Officers, keep our country’s borders safe, and deserve fair treatment.
