The PEI Area Council met on October 26th for their AGM.  Members from Parks, CEIU, UVAE and UTE Locals were represented.

A noon time BBQ held by Parks Local 90023 was well received by the 50 plus members in attendance.   Patty Ducharme, PSAC National Executive Vice-President gave an informative speech on the current round of collective bargaining, emphasisizing the need for members to stay united and support their team.

On August 18th UCTE Local 60905 co-workers Herb MacLaine and Benjamin Gallant were in the right place at the right time.  

The 5th Annual Book Donation to UPEI Robertson Library and the Provincial Public Library System from the PEI Federation of Labour that was held recently.

Our first "Building Our Union" luncheon was held today at the APM centre in Charlottetown.

National Component Parks Local 90023 held their AGM on September 15th.   

 The PEI Human Rights Committee met September 15th with special guest, Jeannie Baldwin, Regional Executive Vice-President - Atlantic.  

Members across the Island received the latest Treasury Board bargaining update today advising of exploratory discussions between PSAC and Treasury Board with the objective of reaching early collective agreements.UVAE National Vice-President, Debi Buell,  distributes the updates to Treasury Board Members outside her workplace.

Our last Think Public luncheon was held on August 24th at the Charlottetown Legion.  This luncheon was held for members working in the downtown core of Charlottetown and was catered by the Legion.
