On June 19th, various locals across PEI held their own events for National Public Service Week.   UTE 90006 hosted a day of action in Summerside with the theme  "Planting for a brighter future on October 19th".

UVAE will host a Union BBQ on Friday, June 19th between 10:30 am and 12:00 noon. See poster attached for additional information.

April 18th,2015, Summerside UTE Local 90006 Local members took part in a national day of action in support of a fair contract. They asked their members to show support to their bargaining team by wearing bright yellow Tshirts and plant gated  650+ handouts asking members to support the bargaining team. The handout also included a letter from PSAC President Robyn Benson "We Will Protect Our Sick Leave".

PEI’s fourteenth Annual Provincial Day of Mourning for workers killed an injured on the job was held April 28th at Memorial Hall, Confederation Centre.  A piper led the group to the memorial monument where wreaths were laid in remembrance.    The PEI Area Council, UVAE, and UTE Locals were among the many present.

All Treasury Board members are invited to join us for a Town Hall Meeting.   Gail Lem, Program and Administrative Services lead Negotiator, will be in attendance to provide an update on the status of Treasury Board Negotiations. Thursday, April 16th, at 5:30 p.m. Quality Inn on the Hill (Holland Grove Room) 150 Euston Street, Charlottetown See attached poster.

Need a bit more time to fill out your 2015 PSAC Atlantic School application? We’re extending the deadline to Friday, April 3, 2015. And remember! If you haven’t taken the Talking Union Basics course, but have some equivalent community or union experience, you are eligible to apply. Built around the theme Building our Union. Building our Power, the school will take place from May 27-31, 2015, in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. All costs related to attending are covered.
