We have had many inquiries from PSAC members about the provincial holiday in February. The third Monday in February is now a provincial holiday in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

Dear members, committee chairpersons and activists, The second year anniversary of the Phoenix Pay System – also known as the Phoenix debacle – is fastly approaching. PSAC and its members need to highlight this sad anniversary in order to add continued pressure on this government to take action to fix this once and for all. We will be launching a nationwide petition calling the government to:

The Public Service Alliance of Canada will be holding an electronic vote for members of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to ratify the tentative agreement between PSAC and CFIA. The voting period will open on January 22 and close February 22, 2018 at 12 p.m. Meetings will be held by webinar for all members, in addition to face-to-face meetings organized in some regions.

The mandate of the Social Justice Fund (SJF) is to support initiatives in five priority areas: 1-Anti-poverty initatives in Canada; 2-Humanitarian assistance in Canada and around the world; 3-International labour development; 4-Worker-to-Worker exchange; and 5-Worker education. In 2017, the SJF supported the following groups/projects in the Atlantic:
